Stefanski Says Falcons’ Trice, Hand, Terrell All Trending Up in Rehab
The Atlanta Falcons are deep into training camp, and new head coach Kevin Stefanski is starting to get clarity on a handful of injury situations that have lingered through August. Speaking with reporters this week, Stefanski delivered a mostly encouraging update on three players working their way back onto the field, according to ClutchPoints.
Edge rusher Bralen Trice, defensive tackle Da’Shawn Hand, and cornerback Avieon Terrell are all working through rehab at various stages, Stefanski said, and none of the three is dealing with a long-term issue. SI FanNation’s Daniel Flick posted the coach’s exact wording on X: “all working through various levels of their rehab, but all are getting better.” —

That report lines up with what The Falcoholic also relayed from Flick’s reporting out of the same camp session, adding a second, independent account of the same update.
Trice Still Chasing His NFL Debut
Trice has yet to appear in a regular-season game since Atlanta drafted him in the third round back in 2024. A torn left ACL wiped out his entire rookie year, and the injury flared up again during last year’s training camp, costing him the whole 2025 season too. Stefanski and the Falcons have been deliberate with his workload this summer, easing him into contact drills rather than rushing him back into a full rotation. The caution makes sense for a player who has now lost two seasons to the same knee.
Hand and Terrell Considered Minor, Short-Term Issues
Hand’s situation is less defined publicly. The 30-year-old defensive lineman is nursing an undisclosed injury that the team considers minor, and he’s expected to be back well ahead of Week 1. Terrell, Atlanta’s second-round pick in the 2026 draft, picked up his own injury during camp but similarly isn’t expected to miss any real time. Reporting from Blogging Dirty detailed Terrell walking off the field into the weight room during an individual drill period before returning later that day, though he sat out the following practice as a precaution.
Stefanski has generally taken a cautious approach with camp injuries across the roster this summer, a pattern that fits his stated priority: getting players ready for Week 1, not maximizing preseason reps. With joint practices against the Colts coming up next week, all three names are worth tracking heading into that stretch.
