49ers’ Trent Williams Sued Over Unpaid Porsche Lease

San Francisco 49ers left tackle Trent Williams is facing a lawsuit from OpenRoad Auto Group, a Washington-based dealer, over payments on a leased 2018 Porsche 911, according to TMZ.

The dealer claims Williams signed a 48-month lease in August 2021 but made only the first two payments, totaling $10,617.26, before allegedly closing the bank account used for automatic withdrawals. OpenRoad says it does not know the car’s current whereabouts and alleges Williams may have sold it to another dealer, which then resold it. The lease was set to run through August 31, 2025.

OpenRoad is seeking $244,199.28 in past-due payments, plus fees and legal costs, and has filed claims of breach of contract and fraud. Williams had not publicly responded as of this writing.

The suit surfaces months after Williams and the 49ers reached a two-year, $50 million extension in April, a deal that included $37 million guaranteed, according to Yahoo Sports. It has no bearing on his roster status or on-field role heading into the season.
