Tyreek Hill Says He Still Has ‘No Power’ in Left Leg in New Rehab Video
Free agent wide receiver Tyreek Hill is still chasing his comeback. In a social media post on Wednesday, the former Miami Dolphins star said he “feels good” but stopped short of giving a firm timetable for his return.
“I ain’t going to tell you what my timeline is, but timeline looking real good right now, man,” Hill said.
The video, roughly a minute and a half long, shows Hill working through a pool session, running and jumping on turf, and moving on a basketball court. He’s candid about where the rehab actually stands. It had been a while since he’d run at all, and his lower body is still catching up.
10 Months Out, Still Rebuilding Power
Hill didn’t sugarcoat the setback. He explained exactly what part of his leg still isn’t firing the way it used to.
“So it’s about 10 months after doing two surgeries,” Hill said. “My left leg is the one that I injured. I have no power in my left leg at all, so I’m trying to regain all the power back in my left leg. But it’s one day at a time.”
That timeline lines up with the injury itself. Hill dislocated his knee and tore multiple ligaments, including his ACL, on Sept. 29 against the New York Jets. He was hospitalized overnight and had surgery the following day.
Hill also reflected on how serious the injury looked in the moment. “You know, they told me I might not be able to walk again, and the doctor is like, ‘Bro, we don’t know what’s going to happen with your future,’ and now look at me. God is good,” Hill said.
No Rush, According to His Agent
The lack of a hard date isn’t new. It matches what agent Drew Rosenhaus posted on X last month, when he said the focus for Hill is coming “all the way back” rather than hitting a specific week. Rosenhaus posted on X: “Tyreek Hill Update: Agent Drew Rosenhaus says the focus is for @cheetah to come ‘all the way back.’ Right now, there is currently no time table.” —

That’s a notable shift from earlier in the offseason, when Rosenhaus had pointed to Week 1 of the 2026 season as a realistic target. Getting Hill’s body all the way back, not hitting a calendar date, is now the stated priority before he considers any landing spot.
Why This Matters Now
Hill posting a workout video days before training camps open reads as a message to the league: he’s still out there, and he’s still a free agent. The Dolphins released the five-time All-Pro in February, ahead of a contract restructure that would have raised his cap number for 2026.
A dislocated knee with multiple torn ligaments is not a standard ACL tear — recovery windows for that kind of injury often stretch toward or past a full year. That’s the practical reason teams have stayed cautious even as Hill posts progress updates. A speed receiver turning 32 during the season, coming off a leg injury this severe, is a harder evaluation than a routine free-agent signing.
Whether the 32-year-old plays anywhere in 2026 is still unresolved. But between the video and his agent’s recent comments, Hill is clearly pushing to prove he can get back on the field, even without a team to report to yet.
