The Los Angeles Rams pulled back the curtain on two new alternate uniforms Thursday night, unveiling the Classic Sol and Fearsome White designs to season ticket members at the team’s Rams Revealed Live event at YouTube Theater. Both looks lean hard into franchise history while keeping a modern build, according to a team release.
The Classic Sol uniform marks the 75th anniversary of the Rams’ 1951 NFL Championship, the first professional sports title the city of Los Angeles ever saw. That team won it five years after the franchise relocated from Cleveland. The jersey brings back a yellow base with Rams Royal satin stitched directly onto the fabric, along with the return of the original three-stripe sleeve design and a Sol monogram neck tag. It’s the first time the Rams have worn that gold look since 1994, when the club last dusted it off for the NFL’s 75th anniversary season.
The helmet stays mostly familiar — Los Angeles keeps its current blue-and-gold shell — but swaps in a 3D front bumper modeled after the 1951 championship banner. White pants with a blue-gold-blue triple stripe round out the set.
Fearsome White Brings Back the 1960s Defense
The second uniform, Fearsome White, pays tribute to the Fearsome Foursome — the defensive line of Rosey Grier, Deacon Jones, Lamar Lundy and Merlin Olsen that terrorized quarterbacks through the 1960s and into the early ’70s. That group is widely credited with changing how teams valued the defensive front, and its influence still shows up in how pass rushers are built and used today.
The jersey goes almost entirely white, with a continuous Rams Royal shoulder stripe designed to echo the helmet horn, period-style TV numbers on the sleeves and custom name and number styling. The pants carry layered Royal fabric with reflective detailing and Midnight trim.
The bigger swing is the helmet. Fearsome White introduces a brand-new alternate lid — white horns on a Royal shell, a direct nod to the blue-and-white helmets the Rams wore in the 1960s. According to the team, it’s the franchise’s first official return to that blue-and-white combination since it was phased out following the 1972 season.
When Fans Will See Them on the Field

The Week 12 game against Green Bay carries its own weight beyond the uniform — it’s the NFL’s first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game, streaming exclusively on Netflix. Pairing that with a uniform debut is the kind of scheduling the league now builds around, stacking a new broadcast window with a new look fans haven’t seen on the field yet.
The Week 13 matchup against Kansas City carries its own history. The Rams wore an all-yellow uniform against the Chiefs back in 2018, in a game many still point to as one of the best regular-season contests ever played. Bringing Classic Sol back for a rematch with the same opponent five years later wasn’t an accident.
These two alternates complete the Rams’ uniform overhaul for 2026, following offseason updates to the team’s primary home and away sets and last year’s addition of the Midnight alternate. That gives Los Angeles five uniform combinations on the shelf for the coming season: the modern white, royal blue, Midnight navy, and now Fearsome White and Classic Sol.
