Travis Kelce walked back into football life on Wednesday. The Chiefs tight end reported for his 14th training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri, on July 29 — his first time on an NFL practice field since marrying Taylor Swift.
The Chiefs posted video of Kelce making the walk to the practice fields in his No. 87 jersey, captioning it “Camp no. 14 for @tkelce.” According to Yahoo Sports, fans lined the entrance and called out congratulations as he passed, and Kelce stopped to acknowledge them. “Appreciate you guys coming out,” he said.

Three weeks earlier, on July 3, Kelce and Swift married at Madison Square Garden in front of a crowd of A-list guests. TMZ reports that Andy Reid told reporters Kelce looked to be in strong shape heading into camp — and joked that all the dancing at the wedding reception might have had something to do with it.
Mahomes and Kelce Pick Up Where They Left Off
Wednesday’s session doubled as a reunion. Patrick Mahomes has spent the offseason working back from the torn ACL and LCL that ended his 2025 season in December, and this marked one of his first extended live reps alongside Kelce since the injury.
It didn’t take long for the chemistry to show. Kelce, 36, has faced retirement questions for two straight offseasons, and how he moves in camp will shape how much Kansas City leans on him in 2026.
