Breece Hall walked into Florham Park on Tuesday for a season the Jets are betting heavily on. The team’s official X account posted arrival photos of Hall on July 28, captioned “how is it year 5 for these guys” — a nod to how quickly his tenure with the franchise has moved.
Hall isn’t just back. He’s back on a new deal. New York signed the running back to a three-year extension worth $45.75 million on May 8, according to SI.com’s Jets coverage, locking him in as the centerpiece of an offense still trying to find its footing.

The Jets selected Hall out of Iowa State with the 36th overall pick in the 2022 draft, making him the first running back off the board that year. Four seasons later, he’s coming off his best NFL year: a career-high 1,065 rushing yards and 1,415 total yards from scrimmage in 2025, per team materials on the Jets’ official site.
A Fifth Season Built Around Him
New York’s roster has changed constantly during Hall’s time in green and white — three head coaches, five offensive coordinators, 11 different starting quarterbacks. He’s outlasted nearly all of it. Speaking after signing his extension, Hall said he believes the pieces are finally in place. “I feel like they’ve really put me in position with all the guys they brought in and the team we’re building around us to really flourish and for me to really be myself,” Hall said, via ESPN.
Veterans reported to the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center on Tuesday, with the first padded practice set for Wednesday morning, according to a JetNation report on the team’s camp schedule. Camp runs through late August and includes joint practices with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ahead of New York’s preseason opener.
Hall now headlines a running back room that also includes Braelon Allen, back after a knee injury cut his 2025 season short, and Isaiah Davis, who’s shown flashes in a backup role. Last season the Jets ranked among the NFL’s top 10 in both rushing yards per game and yards per carry, a mark the team will look to build on as the offensive line returns largely intact.
