Rookies were already in Nashville, having reported the previous week. With veterans now in the building, the full roster is set for its first practice Wednesday morning. According to the Titans’ official training camp preview, the first practice is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. CT, and camp runs into late August at the Vanderbilt Health Football Center in Nashville.
This is the first camp under new head coach Robert Saleh, who was named the 22nd head coach in franchise history in January after 21 seasons of NFL coaching experience, most recently as 49ers defensive coordinator and previously as Jets head coach. He inherits a team that has won a combined six games over the past two seasons.
Cam Ward’s Second Season Is the Story to Watch
No storyline hangs over this camp more than quarterback Cam Ward. The 2025 No. 1 overall pick is entering Year 2 with a new coaching staff around him — Saleh at the top, Brian Daboll running the offense, and Shea Tierney coaching quarterbacks. According to the Titans’ own training camp quarterback preview, Ward’s completion percentage and touchdown total improved as his rookie year went on, while his interceptions dropped — a finish the organization is hoping to build on rather than restart from scratch.
Daboll’s hire matters here. Per ESPN’s training camp preview, Saleh specifically brought in Daboll for his track record developing quarterbacks, pointing to his previous work with Josh Allen in Buffalo. Daboll has said the priority is building a real relationship with Ward and understanding how he sees the game, rather than overhauling his mechanics — a departure from the previous coaching staff’s approach.
Ward’s own offseason has centered on cleaning up his footwork. New Weapons, New Expectations

They used the fourth overall pick in the 2026 draft on wide receiver Carnell Tate and added Wan’Dale Robinson in free agency, giving Ward another proven target alongside veteran Calvin Ridley, according to a training camp preview from BetTennessee. The moves are meant to remove the excuse that Ward had nothing to work with as a rookie.

Per the team’s own camp preview, Ward completed 93 of 161 passes with three interceptions across the seven OTA sessions open to media — a rough patch mid-offseason followed by a stronger finish. The team’s stated goal now is simple: more consistency, and a more confident quarterback once pads come on.
Behind Ward, the backup quarterback picture has also shifted. Mitchell Trubisky now sits as the No. 2, a clear upgrade over last year’s backup, while Will Levis remains in the building and, according to Music City Miracles’ camp preview, is viewed by much of the fan base as either a trade candidate or a player who deserves a real shot at the backup job.

The next several weeks will start to answer questions that have hung over this roster since the coaching change: whether Ward can turn flashes of rookie-year progress into sustained production, whether the retooled offensive line holds up, and whether Saleh’s defense can find an identity fast enough to support a team that hasn’t sniffed the playoffs in years.
