AI Usage Policy
Effective Date: July 4, 2026
At ENFELL (enfell.com), we embrace innovation. As a platform committed to delivering a fresh, comprehensive NFL news article every hour of the day, we utilize modern technological tools to keep pace with the relentless 24/7 football news cycle.
However, we firmly believe that the heart of sports journalism is human. The passion, nuance, and critical analysis of the game can never be replicated by a machine. To maintain the utmost trust with our readers and comply with the highest digital publishing standards, founder Lee Walker and the ENFELL editorial team have established this transparent AI Usage Policy.
1. Our “Human-First” Guarantee
While we use technology to assist our workflow, ENFELL does not publish purely AI-generated articles. Every single story, headline, rumor breakdown, and game analysis published on our platform is conceptualized, written, fact-checked, and approved by a human journalist and human editor.
2. How We USE Artificial Intelligence
To maintain our hourly publishing schedule without sacrificing quality, we use AI and machine learning tools strictly as assistants in the newsroom. These acceptable uses include:
-
Data Processing & Statistics: Sorting through massive NFL databases, player stats, and historical records to quickly find accurate data points for our writers.
-
Proofreading & Formatting: Utilizing AI-powered grammar and spell-checking tools to ensure our copy is clean, readable, and free of typos before publication.
-
Headline Brainstorming: Generating ideas for headlines or SEO meta-descriptions, which are always finalized and selected by a human editor.
-
Transcription: Using automated audio-to-text transcription services to quickly turn press conferences and player interviews into written quotes, which are then manually verified for accuracy.
3. How We Do NOT Use Artificial Intelligence
To protect the integrity of our journalism, we strictly prohibit the following uses of AI:
-
No Auto-Generated Journalism: We do not use generative AI (like ChatGPT or similar large language models) to write entire articles, opinion pieces, or news reports.
-
No AI Sourcing: We never use AI to gather primary facts for breaking news. AI tools are known to “hallucinate” or invent information, which violates our core Fact-Checking Policy.
-
No Fake Quotes: We will never use AI to generate or alter quotes from players, coaches, insiders, or executives.
4. Policy on AI-Generated Images and Media
The NFL relies heavily on visual storytelling. We are committed to visual authenticity.
-
Photography: We use authentic, licensed photographs from trusted media agencies and official team resources. We do not use AI to create photorealistic fake images of players, games, or events (deepfakes).
-
Illustrations: If an AI tool is ever used to generate a graphic or abstract illustration (e.g., a conceptual graphic for a team’s salary cap situation), it will include a clear, visible watermark or caption stating: “Image generated with the assistance of AI.”
5. Accountability
Ultimately, the responsibility for every word published on ENFELL lies with our human editorial team. If an AI tool introduces an error into our data or formatting during the drafting process, it is the responsibility of our human editors to catch it. If an error slips through, it will be handled swiftly under our transparent Corrections Policy.
